Activity Notes
We will meet at MMC to carpool at 8:00AM or at the Park and Ride at 8:45AM.
We will start at the Park and Ride at Salmon Falls Road. We will go under Route 14 and connect to Cape Horn Road. We will follow the road to where it intersects with with the Cape Horn trail. The trail up is narrow and has a lot of loose rocks, so poles will be helpful. We will follow the trail uphill, stopping as several viewpoints. We will go under Route 14 and continue up to the Nancy Russel Viewpoint where we will have lunch. From there, we will go downhill back to the Park and Ride. The hike is 6.7 miles with 1354 ft of elevation gain.
