Cape Horn short route

This is a short version at Cape Horn. Start at the Nancy Russell Overlook parking area and work our way down to the overlooks above the river, then back up. 5 miles, 800 ft. elevation gain. Do not go to the usual trailhead on Hwy 14. Instead take Belle Center Road on left (a couple of miles after Lilac Farm) to Mt. Pleasant Road (also old Hwy 14), right to Strunk Road to the parking lot. You can get this on your gps by entering Take Me to Nancy Russell Overlook at Cape Horn, WA. The hike starts at 9 a.m. (Please note - if you plan to meet at the Mazama Center the parking lot is not available at this time. We recommend parking the south side of the building on Washington Street and meeting there.)
