Burlington Creek Hike with Ancient Forest Loop Evening Hike
Activity Notes:
Spend a Wednesday evening along a scenic four-mile loop. We’ll hike the Burlington Creek Loop and include a side trip through the Forest Park Conservancy Ancient Forest Preserve. Along the way you’ll see one of the best-preserved sections of ancient forests in close proximity to Portland.
4 miles, 500 feet of elevation gain (Grade A)
Pace: Level 2 (2 to 2.5 mph) moderate pace, with time for breaks and enjoying the scenery.
We’ll meet at the trailhead at 6:20 pm, start the hike at 6:30 pm and plan on two hours, returning to the trailhead by 8:30 pm.

Recommended/required gear: 10 essentials and certainly a flashlight in case we are delayed.

Driving Distance from downtown Portland: 13 miles each way. (~21 minutes)
For those interested in carpooling, there will be a signup with actual location to be determined. Note that parking at the trailhead is limited
