Burlington Creek Loop Hike with Ancient Forest Loop

Previously scheduled for 30 November.

Activity Notes:

Rain or Shine, we’ll hike the Burlington Creek Loop and include a side trip through the Forest Park Conservancy Ancient Forest Preserve.  Along the way you’ll see one of the best-preserved sections of ancient forests in close proximity to Portland. 

4 miles, 500 feet of elevation gain (Grade A)

Pace: Level 2 (2 to 2.5 mph) moderate pace, with time for breaks and enjoying the scenery.

We’ll carpool from the MMC, meet at 7:45 am, departing at 8 am.  Or, alternately, meet at the trail head at 8:40 am.  Expect to return to the MMC by Noon.

Recommended/required gear: 10 essentials,

 

Group Size Limit: 12

Driving Distance from MMC: 18 miles each way. (~30 minutes)
