Activity Notes
This is a trail run, not a hike. Be sure to wear a pack with the ability to carry all the water you need since there will be no water available on the trail. We will go 9-10 miles at an easy pace, hiking uphills as needed to the junction with the Loowit Trail and possibly a little way beyond. The elevation change will be about 2000 feet, but the incline is gentle and rolling.
Meeting Point:
- Meet at the rest area in Cougar, WA across from the Lone Fir cafe and campground at 8 AM. Google Maps link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/L6MkYgxtFVBhT1h69. We will proceed to the trailhead from there together to minimize the number of cars since the parking lot is small.
Parking:
- A Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful pass is required.
