Meeting location:

Fred Meyer on 117th Avenue in Vancouver. Park in the garden center area to form carpools

Meeting/departure time will be 7 AM.

Alternatively, you can meet us at the rest stop in Cougar at 8:00

Driving/Carpooling Notes:

There is a bit of a landslide on FR 83 on the way to Ape Canyon and the road can be a bit rough. We will only carpool in high clearance vehicles, therefore, If you can drive or if you need a ride, I am going to need to know that ahead of time.

Weather:

The weather can change very fast at this time of year. If for some reason the road closes or we can't pass the slide, we will divert to Butte Camp Trail.

Parking:

A Northwest Forest Pass or like is required to park at the Ape Canyon Trailhead
