Activity Notes

While the Mazamas rate this as a 'B', this is a rather challenging hike.  The hike up Elk is quite steep and the hike down the back end of Elk requires carefull footwork and can be daunting to some.  Meet at Beaverton Target off 185th Ave. for carpooling at 8:00AM or at Elk Mountain Trailhead at 8:45. Note that my normal pace is about 2 MPH but I will going about 1.1 MPH up Elk Mountain.
