Elk Mountain Loop

Alltrails.com shows this hike at 9.3 miles and 2713 elevation gain.  We will loose altitude off the summit of Elk Mt. then regain it before getting to the Elk Creek. The first ? of the hike has great views, shade is sprinkled throughout and we will go by a creek at the end of the hike.  We will take water/picture short breaks and a ½ lunch break.  It took my friend and I less than 6 hours with those types of breaks.
