Prior to instructor course, contact Janet Peterson:  Sign NDA  Provide Resume and complete application Complete online WFA course Complete online instructor course (1 week prior)  Sign up for teaching topics for day two of Instructor workshop   Instructor Course Overview Day one: Intro to Base Medical  Scenario Teaching and Learning theory Inclusive Classrooms Risk mitigation PAS review Base Medical instructor resources Moulage techniques Prepare for teaching demonstrations Day two:  Mock WFA  White board skills Commonly asked questions Teach backs Scenario set-up and debrief practice Admin Tasks Evaluations and next steps   Instructor Evaluation Process: Work with Mazamas Instructors Evaluated on five teaching events:  PAS Scenario Management Instructor lead discussion Skills lab Classroom management Move to level one instructor.  Proven leadership and management skills - move to level two instructor Level two instructors are the lead instructors for the Mazamas   Mazamas Commitment: Maintain WFR or higher Submit for Annual background check Screened by Mazamas - invited to Instructor course Attend Instructor course - June 18 and 19 (9 am - 4pm) at the MMC at member's expense Teach WFA/MFA with current Mazamas instructors for evaluation (Fall 2022 courses).  Teach at least two WFA courses per year for three years for the Mazamas  Do not have to join First Aid Committee (you can!)
