Join us for an early season climb of Mt Hood. Apply if interested, and we'll mutually confirm when weather opens a date. Trending to Thursday , 2/20 . SKILLS REQUIRED Comfortable on 40° snow with exposure Optimism to motivate teammates Fitness to hike with cursory breaks, ~1000' / hour Glacier techniques, including crevasse rescue and snow anchors. This route may have steps of alpine ice, an airy ridge, and crevasse potential; suitable to prior Hood climbers ready for a bit more challenge. Smoot rates AI1-2, grade II.  As a winter climb, expect darkness, continuous winds, and potential need for double boots. If skies are sunny and calm, bring something to share for the summit!
