Forest Park Hike, From Mile 30.2 to Mile 21

B-2 Hike, 12 miles, 400 ft elevation gain, car shuttle hike, Pace 2 miles per hour, carpool fee approx. $5 or less, bring your lunch to enjoy on the trail and carry 2-3 liters of water. Have you ever wanted to hike the entire 30.2 mile Wildwood Trail through Forest Park sections? Yes, then this is your hike. This days hike segment (1/3 of the entire trail) will start at the trail terminus (mile 30.2), exit via the Ridge Trail (mile 21) and continue with a walk across the St John's Bridge to our shuttle cars. The trail is a lush green forest with some old growth, huge sword ferns, a multitude of mysterious mushrooms growing on nurse logs as well as bird species.  This trail is a well maintained urban wilderness of great beauty, a true gift to the city dwellers.  7:45 am meetup at the corner of N. Syracuse St and N. Baltimore Ave, Portland OR for carpool, park on the street and look for my white SUV with the back hatch open.  Questions?
