Activity Notes
This is an exploratory hike (meaning I haven't previously hiked this trail) to the north end of the Indian Heaven Wilderness, which is the one area of the Wilderness I haven't made it to yet. The hike will start in the berry fields, switchback up along the side of Sawtooth Mountain for some hopefully great views, and visit Wood Lake before heading back along the PCT. Here is a description of the hike. If we're lucky we'll have berries to snack on and not too many bugs snacking on us ;)
It's about 9.5 miles and 2,000 ft of elevation gain (half of the gain is in the first couple miles). It's a 2 hr drive so we'll coordinate a carpool.
