Activity Notes
We will hike via the Top Spur Trailhead to the PCT then around Bald Mt. to the
Timberline Trail and finally the McNeil Point Trail. When we reach the juncture for the
"scramble route" we will decide how many of us will choose that route and how many will
stay on the main trail to arrive at the iconic stone shelter. Our hike will pass through old
growth forests, have spectacular views of Mt. Hood, cross some beautiful creeks, and
see plenty of wildflowers.
Hike approx. 9 to 10.5 miles ( depending upon route chosen ) with elevation gain of 2300'..
Drive 110 miles round trip.
