Activity Notes

This is an A level hike in the Three Sisters Wilderness. We will meet at the Sisters Ranger Station at 9:00 AM. Our hike will begin at the Three Sisters – Tam McArthur Rim Trailhead. We’ll hike up to the viewpoint at 7700 feet which offers spectacular views of Broken Top, Three Sisters, Belknap Crater, Mt. Washington, Three Fingered Jack, Mt. Jefferson and Three Creeks Lake.

6 miles / 1300 feet elevation gain

This is one of three day-hikes scheduled for September 5 – 7 in the vicinity of Sisters, Oregon. It’s approximately a 3.5 hour drive from Portland to Sisters. If you plan to stay in the Sisters area for multiple days, feel free to contact the hike leader for information on camping options.

Please note: This hike is in a wilderness area where day use permits are required. The hike leader will procure permits for all participants. In the event that permits are unavailable, the hike leader will select an alternative hike in the area. Participants will be notified of such a change no less than 10 days prior to the scheduled hike date.
