Misery Ridge Loop Hike

Misery Ridge is a classic, steep hike with stunning views of Smith Rock State Park. After a mildly exposed, steep hike to the top of the ridge, we will hike along the plateau to check out Monkey Face, a popular rock climbing route. We will pause for snacks and water on the plateau. We will then take the summit trail on private land to loop back around the north side of the park before completing the loop. 

We will meet outside of the Welcome Center at 8:30 AM to begin the hike. Hike is 6.2 miles and includes 1,760 feet of elevation gain. We will take a moderate pace of 2-2.5 miles per hour. Expect to be hiking for 3-4 hours, including some breaks. Terrain is rocky, uneven, and at times, the trail has some moderate exposure. We plan to conclude our hike around 1:00 PM.
