Out and back to Dome Rock above Detroit Lake. Spectacular views of the Central Cascade crest on a clear day. The trail is clear now, but there is 1-2 inches of snow in the forecast for Friday with substantially colder temperatures for Saturday. Microspikes are mandatory . Gaiters, poles, warm gloves and waterproof/snow pants highly recommended. We will leave from the MMC by 6:30am and head up the trail from the Tumble Creek Trailhead starting at 8:15. Approximate total distance of 10 miles and elevation gain of 3,000 ft. Expect to be back to our cars by 3pm.
