The Mazamas is a truly unique community, where deep Pacific Northwest roots meet internationally esteemed mountaineering and education standards. We're glad you're here!
This is a nontechnical but strenuous climb, perfect for BCEP grads or others looking to experience an overnight trip up a big mountain. We’ll meet Saturday morning at Cold Springs Campground and climb about 3600 feet to the "Lunch Counter" camping area. The following morning we'll ascend the final 3000 feet to the summit. The descent back to Lunch Counter includes the best and longest glissades in the Cascades, if you’re up for it. Then we’ll pack up and return to the trailhead sometime around 5 p.m.
