Activity Notes
This will be a long climb following the Kautz Glacier route from the Paradise Trailhead to the summit of Mount Rainer. As the name suggest, glacier travel will be a big part of this climb, along with steep snow and ice. With the long approach and significant elevation gain, being in strong physical shape is a prerequisite for the climb and for you to enjoy the experience. In addition, participants will need to have experience with steep snow and ice travel. Preference will be given to individuals who have completed the Steep Snow and Ice class, or have equivalent experience. Note: We will be starting early on July 7th from Mount Rainier's Paradise Trailhead. Participants will need to either travel on Thursday, or get up very early on Friday to be in the parking lot and ready to depart at 9am.Registration is Closed
