Activity Notes

We will plan to ascend the Wahkeena trial and loop down the Multnomah trail. ~5 miles, ~1700 elevation gain. https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guide/Multnomah-Wahkeena_Loop_Hike Meet at carpool location (Parkrose/Sumner TC Park & Ride) at 8:30am or trailhead (Wahkeena, unless we have too many cars) early enough to be ready to hike at 9:30am. There may be snow and ice on the ground, and it may rain at lower elevation. Please plan clothing and pack for cold weather. Microspikes are required. Poles are highly recommended. Well behaved dogs on leash are welcome, though please be sure they can handle the terrain and conditions. Pre-BCEP conditioner.
