This is the first field session for the Nordic Ski School.

Activity Notes

Greetings!

I am looking forward to seeing you all this weekend at Teacup Sno-Park on Sunday.  The weather looks better that day and will allow a third instructor to join us.  I went up this last weekend and it was a little bare so the extra snow expected on Saturday should make for a nice day of skiing.

WHERE? Teacup

As I explained, traffic to the mountain on the weekends can be hard to predict. I find that going through Hood River is consistently faster, despite being slightly farther.

WHEN? Sunday January 22, leave the Mazama Center at 7:30am, and drive I-84 to Hood River.  Exit at Highway 35 which will take you directly to Teacup (left hand side). They have not reported problems with parking the last several weekends

How will we find each other?

After you park make your way to the warming hut.  We will convene behind the restrooms which are directly across from the warming hut.  There is a small road that runs behind the large sign and restrooms.  I will be wearing a bright blue jacket with yellow zippers.  We will wait there for everyone.

Anything else?

You will need a sno-park pass and students are responsible for paying the trail fee directly to Teacup.

Questions?  The very best way to reach me is by text at 503 347-4243.  I rarely check my personal email account during the workday.  No question is too small.  If you cannot make it, let me know so we do not wait for you.

If you do not hear from me again, I will see you Sunday, leaving town at 7:30am. and again, please text if you have concerns or questions.

Looking forward to seeing you all and the mountain air!
