Activity Notes
This hike takes us past Burnt Lake to the summit of East Zigzag Mountain. Along the way, we'll explore Lost Creek Falls. Getting to the base of the falls requires crossing the creek and some bushwhacking. The hike covers about 10 miles with 2300 feet of elevation gain.
We will carpool from the MMC departing at 7 am or you can meet us at the trailhead at 8:15. The final miles of the drive are on rough, potholed roads. A high clearance vehicle is recommended. A NW Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Pass is needed to park at the trailhead.
I have not done this hike before which in Mazamas parlance makes it an "exploratory" hike.
