This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Looking for some summer fun? Join AYM and guidebook author Matt Reeder for a fun loop that passes several waterfalls, fields of summer flowers, and spectacular views of Mount Hood. We'll hike uphill past Umbrella Falls and around the chairlifts at Mount Hood Meadows to Heather Canyon, a gorgeous pair of side-by-side creeks on the east side of the mountain. From there, we'll return via trails along Clark Creek. This is a gorgeous hike and you won't want to miss it!
