Paradise Park from Timberline Lodge Hike Distance: 12 miles      Elevation Gain: 2300 Ft   High Point:  6100 Ft Hiking time: 6+ hours      Difficulty: Somewhat Strenuous Meeting date/time: July 30 / 730AM      Meeting Location: MMC Parking lot Driving distance/time: 58 Miles   /  1:15 hours   Paradise park  begins at Timberline Lodge and  traverses west on the timberline trail. We drop steeply into and out of Zig Zag canyon,  then up into alpine meadows with great wildflower displays below Mt. Hoods southwest face.  We will have lunch there and return via another connector a little further west back to the timberline trail. Along with the mountain vistas and wildflowers, the route passes several waterfalls and has  views  south and west of Mount Hood. The trail can be busy on weekends, so we will start early.  Meet at the MMC  for carpooling, or alternately, meet us at timberline lodge (contact leader).
