  • For heavy precip, trip will be called off or relocated.

Adventurous Young Mazamas (AYM) offers outdoor activities year-round targeted to younger adults in their 20s & 30s. All activities are open to everyone 18 and over who can safely participate in our events.

Never been backpacking in the winter before? Intimidated by it all? This is your opportunity to give it a try!

Beginning at the Sno-Park, we will do an uphill 2-3 mile snowshoe hike into Mt Hood Wilderness, where we’ll set up camp. Once settled in, you can relax in camp or explore.

After a lazy breakfast on Sunday morning, we’ll snowshoe to a scenic point. If weather cooperates, we should have clear views of Mount Hood. Then, it’s back to camp, pack up, and head for the trailhead.
