This is an B level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area. B level hikes are moderate or more challenging hikes with either less than 15 miles in distance with between 1,500 and 3,000 feet elevation gain or between 8 and 15 miles in distance with less than 1,500 feet of elevation gain.

Activity Notes

This hike leaves from East Crater TH on FS 6035 and travels through the heart of the Indian Heaven Wilderness, passing numerous lakes and meadows along the way. Those who are fully vaccinated (with proof) may meet at the MMC (parking on the street only on Sundays!) at 7:30 AM if they choose to carpool. Otherwise, we will meet at the TH at 9:30 AM. 10 miles; 1,450 ft. Of elevation gain
