Activity Notes

Dalles Mt is across the Columbia from The Dalles. It is noted for great wildflowers in the spring and expansive views across the treeless slopes. We start at the old ranch at 1300 feet.  We will walk road and some cross country 3.5 miles  to reach the ridgecrest at Staker Butte (3200 feet).  From there, you have a great view of Mt Adams and the Klicitat Prairie to the north and Mt Hood to the south. Have our lunch there and then return to the cars mid afternoon. The overall pace will be relaxed with time for flower viewing and photography.   More Info Here:<br> https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guide/Dalles_Mountain_Ranch_Trailhead
