Follow the Little N. Santiam River past several waterfalls among huge old growth Doug fir and red cedar. Visit Jawbone Flats, once a mining settlement now an educational retreat.Then on to Cedar Flats and massive 10 - foot thick western red cedars. Visit stunning Opal Pool on our way back. 10.5 miles with elevation gain approx. 1000'. Drive 187 R/T.
