The Mount Defiance hike is a steep hike with great views of the surrounding mountains on a clear day. You can make it a loop hike by going up the Starvation Ridge Trail and back down the Mount Definance Trail or you can go out and back on the same trail. Come see why I only do this hike once every two years...err..I mean I love this hike. This gains approx. 5000ft, which happens to be the most elevation gain in the Gorge. It also happens to be pretty close to the elevation gain on Mt. St. Helens. So pack your bag as you would a Helens climb.| Other Information | |
