Conditioning hike! 6:50-7:00 Meet at the Gateway Transit Center 7:00-8:40 Herman Creek Trailhead 8:45-1:45ish Hike to Indian Point and back 1:45-4:00ish Carpool to back to the Gateway Transit Center *Drive times include a pit stop Bring the Ten Essentials and your Leave No Trace Principals Be prepared to hike at a steady speed in potentially hot weather. Make sure to have adequate water and electrolytes (3 liters at least) and sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sun screen, maybe a sun shirt) We will hike at a steady pace, aiming for an average speed of 2.5-3 miles per hour, taking a brief break every hour. The pace may vary based on terrain or other factors, including a faster pace on the descent. Depending on the weather, we'll eat lunch at the top or after we descend to the stone shelter. Be prepared to create a welcoming environment for all participants with inclusive, respectful language and to have fun!| Other Information | |
