Start at Cannon Beach Library and walk to the Beach. Head south to Haystack Rock and continue to Hug Point. Hug Point must be passed at low tide. End at Leech Street. This requires a shuttle between Cannon Beach and Leech Street. This a section of the Oregon Coast Trail. This is a very scenic part of the Oregon coast with haystack rock formations, streams with waterfalls, caves, and colorful cliffs.

Activity Notes

Start at the Cannon Beach Library and walk to the Beach.  Head south about a mile to the Haystack Rock. Continue another 3.5 miles to Hug Point. Low tide today is at 1235 which is when we need to walk on the old roadbed blasted out of the rock. It?s another 2.5 miles to Leech Lane, our end point. Total distance is 7 miles one way.  We will do a shuttle.
