AYM: Angel's Rest

Let's explore Angel's Rest now that it has reopened! It?s a moderate 2.4 mile hike up through the trees, climbing a handful of switchbacks for a bit and then traverse across a boulder field near the top which opens up to a 270 degree view of the Columbia River Gorge! Being a Portland "winter" day, we will hope for sun but prepare for rain. This means full rain gear and no jeans!! Please also bring extra layers to put on to keep warm while hiking and resting in the cold, wet conditions. Meet for carpool: Mazamas Mountaineering Center, 527 SE 43rd Ave, Portland, OR 97215 Meeting time: 9 AM from MMC, 9:45 AM at Trailhead, Start hike at 10 AM! The trailhead parking is Angel's Rest Trailhead, East Historic Columbia River, Bridal Veil, OR 97010 - No fee or permit required, parking is limited though!!
