This is a beautiful waterfall that can be seen after a short snowshoe trek that is magnificent in the winter.

Starting at the Sherwood Trailhead, follow the sign towards Tamanwas Falls. You will walk through the woods towards the river, and cross it on the log bridge. After crossing the creek, you will begin to head uphill. Keep going this way through the woods for nearly 2 miles, and you will reach the 150 foot falls. You can explore around here and find the best angle for a photo op, but I find that the best opportunity is right on the trail. Return back the same way you came.

Activity Notes

*Must have snowshoes and/or microspikes!* Join rock jock leader Lauren for a beautiful snowshoe jaunt up Cold Spring Creek to see the stunning icy majesty of Tamanawas Falls on the east side of Mount Hood. The hike is an easy out and back with a small elevation gain and we'll have plenty of time for pictures. Afterwards, we'll head up to Timberline Lodge for *ENORMOUS* hot cocoas before heading back to town.

To join waitlist, please contact leader Lauren or AYM at aym@mazamas.org
