If you hold a current Wilderness First Responder or higher certification with a passion for education that inspires everyone to love and protect the mountains, maybe you should consider becoming a Mazamas WFA Instructor. Our instructors value education excellence and are willing to put forth the effort required to become a nationally qualified instructor. Mazamas are partnering with Base Medical and their certified Wilderness medicine curriculum to grow the Mazamas WFA instructor base as we expand access to innovative and sustainable WFA education to Mazamas outdoor leaders and members of our community.
