Activity Notes
Thanks to Bill Stein's Mt. Aix summit team for logging coordinates and reporting 4 large downed trees (plus several smaller ones) on the lower half of the trail during their adventure.
We will need a crew of around 6 people to remove these.
Estimating a hike of about 6 miles round trip and 1500 feet elevation gain, while carrying saws, tools, water, lunch, etc.
You do not need any certifications to join, but we'll choose at least one other certified sawyer.
Meet/carpool at MMC. The drive to Mt. Aix is 4 hours each way. Expecting to be back to Portland by 6-8 pm.
*This event will depend on fires/smoke in the area which currently looks clear.
