The originally posted Matterhorn/Sacajawea climb has been moved to Old Snowy in the spectacular Goat Rocks Wilderness.

On Tuesday, we'll hike to a campsite just outside Snowgrass Flat (5 miles with 1500 feet of gain), set up camp, and hike with daypacks past Goat Lake to Hawkeye Point (about 7 miles roundtrip from camp with 1600 feet of gain.)

Wednesday is summit day. Roundtrip from camp is 5 miles with 2000 feet of gain. A short Class 3 scramble gets us to the top. We may do some of the traverse to Ives Peak to check out a unique arch formation. After enjoying the view, we'll return to camp, pack up and hike out.
