A three pitch 5.6 sport route of an andesite pinnacle of pretty good rock on a broad steep nose with some airy exposure located a very short walk from highway 20.
Activity Notes
This is a great, easily accessible sport multi-pitch climb.
Santiam Pinnacle is a multipitch climb comprised of 3 pitches of mostly 5.6/5.7 bolted, sport climbing just a 5 minute walk from the highway.
We will climb in two groups of three, and will rappel from the summit. Each group will consist of a sport leader, a lead belayer, and a third, following climber (potentially a beginner climber/ first time multi-pitch climber).
Each participant is required to have Basic Rock Skills (BCEP or equivalent) and must be comfortable with climbing on vertical rock, and rappelling with a rappel device and autoblock.
