A coast classic, 1900' of gain in 5.2 miles out & back. From the summit on a clear day you can see volcanoes to the east and the ocean to the west. Portions of this trail are rocky and loose.

We'll carpool from the MMC at 9 AM and arrive at the trailhead at 10:45 AM. We'll enjoy lunch on the summit and then return, aiming to finish the hike in about 2.5 hours including our lunch break. We'll aim for a 2 mph pace uphill and slightly faster downhill where safe.

This will be an exploratory hike, meaning the leader has not done this hike before.
