Activity Notes
The Triple D challenge....Dog Mountain, Mt. Defiance and Devil's Rest all in one day. About 26 miles and 10,000 feet of steep up and down.
Last year, we left the MMC at 3 am and returned at 9 pm. Our average moving pace was 2.2 mph. We'll aim for the same for this one. (The day includes about three hours of driving.)
If you apply and we have not hiked together before, I will contact you for detailed information on your recent hiking history. Ideally you will have hiked Mt. Defiance (or a similarly challenging route) within the past couple of months at an average pace of 2+ mph.
