Mt. Hood (Wy'east), South Side

Mt Hood requires a climbing permit. This cost is included in registration for the climb.

• START: 11 pm on Sunday 5/17.
• Planned Summit: Monday 5/18 am
• RETURN: Monday 5/18 pm

This will be a very full and long day. It will require two Ice Axes, Crampons, and Helmet. We'll keep the group small to minimize ice fall.

I do not take the risks of this route lightly. If the route is too crowded, has too much falling ice, or other poor conditions we will turn around  before the steepest most technical sections.
