Activity Notes
The hike to Saddle Mountain is a steep, rewarding climb on the Oregon Coast. Beginning in lush forest, the trail quickly gains elevation through switchbacks before emerging onto open, rocky ridges. The final stretch involves a short scramble to the summit, where expansive views await. From the top, hikers are treated to sweeping panoramas of the Coast Range, the Pacific Ocean, and, on clear days, distant peaks like Mount Hood. Though relatively short, the hike is physically demanding and offers a memorable mix of forest, challenge, and stunning scenery.
The plan is to meet at the Target on 185th and depart around 7:30 a.m. If you are meeting us at the trailhead please do so by 9 a.m.
