As of January 2017, the Bonneville Hot Springs Resort & Spa has been closed to public entry. The Dick Thomas Trailhead at the former resort is no longer an option. The only legal choice for hikers is to begin this hike at the Bonneville Trailhead:
- Distance: 15.5 miles round trip
- Elevation gain: 4320 feet
Activity Notes
Rising above the Columbia River Gorge, the hike to Table Mountain from Bonneville Hot Springs is a rugged and rewarding adventure that blends forest solitude with sweeping alpine views. The trail begins quietly, winding through lush stands of moss-draped trees and ferns, where the sound of rushing creeks and distant waterfalls sets a calm, almost meditative tone.
The plan is to carpool from the Washougal Community Library and depart around 7:30 a.m. Please note, the resort charges a $10 parking fee per a vehicle. If you are meeting us at the trail head please do so by 8:30 a.m.
While I have done this hike in the past, this will be my first time leading it from this trailhead so please consider this an adventure hike.
