CreativeMornings is a free monthly breakfast lecture series designed to bring together creative communities around big ideas. Join us this month for the theme "Altitude," hosted by the Mazamas' Executive Director, Chelsea Tossing.

About the Speaker

Chelsea Tossing is an educator and nonprofit leader who believes the best way to find out what you're capable of is to try something you're not sure you can do. She is the Executive Director of the Mazamas, a Portland nonprofit that has been helping people learn to climb and explore the mountains together for more than 130 years. Her path has taken her from public school teaching to outdoor education to leading a mountaineering organization, and she counts herself incredibly lucky that what she believes most deeply is also what she gets to do for work every day.

From facilitating wilderness programs to embarking on a solo bike ride to Alaska, Chelsea's work– and her life– sits at the intersection of risk, trust, and wonder. Whether she's on a bike, in the mountains, or– these days– answering a lot of emails about general liability insurance, Chelsea is most interested in helping people find the audacity to try, the tenderness to connect, and the humility to feel at home in themselves and the world.

Registration opens on October 23rd on the CreativeMornings site!
