Mileage:10  Elevation:2700  Drive:20  Meeting Location: Cougar Rest Area

At 9.3 miles one-way, with car shuttle, the Cinnamon Trail forms the southwest boundary of the Mount St. Helens Volcano Monument. The trail follows the Kalama River upstream through large trees including hemlock, western redcedar, silver fir, and Douglas-fir, then ascends to a ridge with views of Mount St. Helens and Mount Adams. The highest point is 4,000 feet. The trail provides great views to the north of Saint Helens and Goat Mountain, with Mount Adams to the east and distant views of Mount Hood to the south.
