Tour Description
This is a two day ski tour, starting in the parking lot of the Anthony Lakes Ski Resort. On one of the days, we plan on traveling to the Angell basin with tour objectives on Hoffer Butte, Lees Peak and Angell Peak. On the other day, we plan on touring on the backside of the ski resort with the option of purchasing a one ride lift ticket to gain access to the upper portion of the west facing descent routes- the same area in which the ski resort runs cat skiing.
Be prepared to ascend a minimum of 2000 vertical feet each day and travel in moderately complex to complex terrain. Selected tour objectives will be based on a variety of factors, including conditions, risk assessments and group dynamics.
Travel Logistics
It's a five hour drive from Portland so plan on arriving to the area on Friday, April 3 and departing on Sunday, April 5. The tours will take place on Saturday and Sunday. There are ample stay options between La Grande and Baker City, including RV parking & camping at the ski resort on a first come, first serve basis. The ski resort is open Thursday to Sunday so you also have the option of arriving early and riding in the resort on Thursday or Friday.

Cancellation
- Like most places in the Northwest this spring, even at higher elevations like Anthony Lakes, the snowpack is thin and going fast. If we need to cancel this tour due to poor conditions, we'll give participants as much advanced notice as possible. As such, we suggest you hold off on making any non-refundable reservations.
- This tour can be cancelled at any time, due to conditions, including weather and other factors
