Activity Notes

7.5 mile out and back hike to Sherrard Point.  We'll start the hike at the road closure/parking lot junction with Forest Road 20.  The hike will consist of 1.5 miles on the road before taking the trail on an easy coasting uphill to Sherrard Point for a 360 degree view of the gorge and area peaks.  We'll return back down the trail and finish the last 1.5 miles on the road.

Currently there is no snow on the road or the trail making this a great conditioning hike.  We'll keep a 2.0 brisk pace with a lunch break at the top of Sherrard Point.

Micros and Poles are recommended (just in case we come across ice) but will keep you updated.
