Activity Notes
This is about a 7 mile lollipop hike on the lower slopes of Stacker Butte in the Columbia Hills State Park, about an 80 minute drive from Portland.
Total elevation gain is about 1200'.
If the day is clear, views should be great. If the weather is very poor (some combo of high winds, low temps, plus rain), we will probably cancel.
This is an exploratory hike for the leader.
We will meet at the MMC at 7:30 AM to organize carpools, and should arrive at the trailhead around 8:50, and begin hiking at 9:00 AM.
Conditions permitting, we will have lunch on the hike, return to the cars around 2:00 PM, and return to the MMC around 3:30-4:00 PM.
