Activity Notes
Fun but challenging hike up to Palmer from Timberline Lodge.
Pass Required - Sno-Park Permit (available at the lodge)
Gear required:
Spikes (bring snowshoes if we get snowfall before then.)
Trekking poles
Waterproof, warm layers
waterproof hiking shoes
Snacks
2-3 liters of water
We'll meet at the lodge by the fireplace at 7am and hike to the top of the Palmer ski lift.
This hike is a trainer for summit season next Spring. Hoping to keep a pace of about 2 MPH.
We'll have a brief stop at the top for snacks, and then can relax in the lodge after the hike.
We can check snow levels with Timberline webcams to determine if we'll need snowshoes.
