Mt. Wow is a prominent scrambling peak located at the west boundary of Mt. Rainier National Park just north of the Nisqually entrance.  There are several routes on the peak- the most popular from the Nisqually Entrance. An alternate and shorter route is via Lake Allen from the West Side Road on the east side of the peak. All routes are off trail and good route finding skills are necessary. In good weather, the view of Mt. Rainier is “Wow!”

My goal is to assemble an engaged team that is based on respect, communication, and situational awareness. I strive to build a culture of safety, enjoy the wonder of the outdoors, keep my mind open to learning, and enjoy the company of fellow climbers. Everyone has something to contribute this climb. Please come prepared to be a engaged team member.

This is an exploratory climb. The climb leader has not been here before.

Be prepared for bushwacking, creek crossing, and and route finding (there is not a trail here) as we ascend up this steep, forested ridge. I would expect some 4th class climbing.
