Activity Notes
Out-and-back to Ho Rock. This rock lies at 7,100' on a ridgeline. We will go up Vista Ridge, passing through Cairn Basin and McNeil Point. We will have to cross Ladd Creek, which could be a major creek crossing, depending on conditions.
Carpool from Rock Haven at 7:00A.M. or you can meet us at Vista Ridge at 8:45A.M. I will email driving instructions, since Google Maps is incorrect. Part of the drive will be on gravel road, but conditions are usually not that bad for gravel roads. Suggested gas contribution is $13/passenger. No passes required.
11 miles, 3000' gain, 7100' summit
***Life is stressful, especially for minorities and marginalized people. But there's lots of studies showing that spending time outside with good company is good for the body and the mind! Therefore, I invite everyone to join me on my hikes!
