This is an C level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area. C level hikes are difficult or strenuous hikes with either over 15 miles in distance or over 3,000 feet elevation gain. C level hikes require you to apply; once you apply you will receive an email within a few days letting you know if you have been accepted onto the hike.

*Note* I am a carless hike leader and will need a willing carpool driver departing from MMC @ 7:30am, for the hike to operate.

One of my favorites - Sleeping Beauty is 2.6 miles RT, 1350 elevation gain, with a spectacular view. It’s a long drive 1.45 - 2.10 depending on traffic. No pass TH for 3 cars although I’ve seen more - I will maintain this as a one car hike. No facilities. The final road does have potholes. In the past, I’ve driven it slowly in a sedan. Carpool $20 each (3 riders) 

C level for steepness and rocky exposed top.

We will practice mindfulness/non conversation while hiking - an opportunity to allow our minds respite while moving our bodies. 

If weather is non cooperative the hike will be rescheduled.
